wsporter, I really try to stay away from titles, adjectives, etc. I think they tend to separate vs. bring us all together.

Personally I'm ok NOT living in a neighborhood, or even hanging out in a neighborhood, that is NOT Latino, like me.... Or in a neighborhood that is NOT East Asian, which is a culture I've experienced half my life.

But that's just me! I'm currently writing this as I sit in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. And everyone in this establishment seems to be of a European extract. But I love it!

I just want you to be happy and comfortable. WHEREVER you end up.... There's good, and sometimes NOT so good, anywhere you go..

Peace!

It was not to degrade straight realtors (as was stated to me), or to point out that it might be politically incorrect to ask such a thing. It was simply to ask for help.
I can't see the posts you are referring to. However, if you go back to your question, you were asking for an agent who was willing to break state and potentially federal law by steering you to a gayborhood. That's just unacceptable.

Getting advice from non-real estate professionals (like people on this forum) about where gay people might concentrate is very different from asking for a real estate broker who can steer you to a neighborhood based upon sexual orientation.

People move. Just because someone lives next to you today, it doesn't mean they will forever stay there. Today, you might have a great neighbor and then not so great one will buy his house and move in and vice versa.

I have a cousin and his husband that had difficulty with neighbors and from their experience, I can understand where you're coming from.
Good luck on your house hunting!

It's not a one-to-one correlation with LGBTQ+-friendly beliefs, but just to get a general idea, this NYTimes map shows Dem vote in the 2020 election by precinct. Most of the city of Peoria is 70+ D, besides the more suburban areas north of War Memorial Dr.

In particular, you might look into the area around Bradley University on the west side. There's a lot of diversity there, and an LGBTQ+ bookstore (Lit. on Fire Books) that, when I went there, even had some novels with ace protagonists.

Looks like Club Diesel and Sparky's are the prominent gay bars in Peoria, so I assume the neighborhoods they're in are pretty accepting.

There's gays in Peoria?!! Heck, I remember back in the 80's, people where saying the klan was riding high over there. Well I suppose nowadays, even the KKK has a LGBT+ chapter.

Hey, I'm just thinking inclusivity. Why must a toothless yokel with swastika and '88' tats only be straight? The year is 2021, MJ.

G in MP,

I am reversing my court order on you. Your testimony is solid.

And yeah, what's up with all these tattoed, prejudiced "Class of '88" peoples?!?
