That made me feel like I was back home. Reminds me of my Aunt being afraid of a toilet for years. Was finally forced to use one when she moved to town after retirement.

I remember my Dad telling me that my Grandpa refused to have an indoor "outhouse" because he said you weren't supposed to eat and poop in the same building...he thought it would give you a disease of some kind
