Local news indicates that a McClean county man has been arrested for 5 family members and a brutal beating of a 3 year old in Beason Illinois on September 21, 2009.
As I understand it, the man was once married to an older daughter of the father of the family murdered. Apparently the man arrested was taken to court in May of this year by the older daughter for child support modifications.

Mod Cut: No rumors on the extent of the surviving child's injuries, except she was critical and later that she was critical but stable. Nothing has been released via local media newscasts to substantiate any of this.
I hate to think that if this arrested man is convicted of these 5 brutal murders, Illinois residents will feed, clothe and pay for his medical care for the rest of his life and he may someday be released.....the result of the death penalty being lifted in Illinois. hmmmmmmmm

It is a terrible tragedy to a family and to small community. Sometimes it seems to me as though the police are loathe to react to family disputes until something terrible like this happens. My God, the only survivor is a toddler. Nothing can be done for the victims, but what can we, as an internet community, do to help the other victim?
