Looks like my wife and I will be leaving Alaska soon. Makes sense to move back to Jasper Indiana where our house is, but not sure of the job market. We have been sheltered by this whole mess since we are Military so we really don't know how bad it was or still is. I do know trying to sell our home has not been good so we have decided to just move back and use it. However, if we can't find jobs it would be useless. There aren't many jobs listed for Jasper so commuting to Evansville looks like our best option. If anyone could give us an idea of how bad the market is around there it would be great. We can't wait to get back to the Hoosier state, but the uncertainty is killing us.

Obviously everywhere in the country is bad but IMO Indiana is handling it much better than the rest of the country. Especially Chicagoland. I know this for sure. Evansville did loose whirlpool so that hurt but there were also some jobs moving to the area. I know GE has been picking up also. Construction is not as bad as other areas of the country either. But still bad.
