My wife and I will be relocating to Evansville the first part of next year and are looking into apartments. We also have an infant, so we obviously are looking for safe areas, as well as those not overly occupied by college students (because of noise levels).

We've been looking online right now, as we will not be able to physically look at apartments until a month or so before we are able to move. The ones that we have pulled from online are Indian Woods, Lakeshore, Kimber Green, Abbey Court, Pavilion Lakes, and Brickyard. Does anyone have any experience with these apartments or know anything about them or their reputation? Or, are there any other complexes that you recommend looking into? We want to stay under $900/month and need at least a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath.

Thank you in advance for any advice you may have.

Indian Woods - "far" SE side of Evansville. Not a bad area, I know nothing about the complex though.

Lakeshore - off the Lloyd by 164, safe area. I think these apartments are pretty new, they look nice.

Kimber Green - right at the Lloyd and Burkhardt. Very busy area, the traffic is awful over there. I have "heard" some negative things about this place, when I was in college, there were a few people I know who lived over there. I would look elsewhere.

Abbey Court - These are behind Washington Square mall; they are ok.

Pavilion Lakes - I think these are at the Lloyd and Burkhardt. I would not want to live over there due to traffic.

Brickyard - These are over on the west side, they are more like condos than apartments if I remember correctly. None of my college buddies lived there when I was in college, I suppose that is a good sign for you.

Thank you for the advice. That helps us get a general idea of things, and some places to stay away from.

Does anyone else have any experience with these places? Or, have other places in Evansville to recommend?
