That's what happens when crude jumps $7.00 a barrel. Just waiting for someone to somehow blame it on the city or even worse potus

I bought gas in Columbus on Monday for $3.05/gal. Today (Tuesday) we went to Greensburg, where gas was $3.19 at one station, $3.29 at another and $3.39 at a third!

On Tuesday morning the cheapest gas I saw on my way to work was at BP on Fall Creek/38th St. for $3.09. When I drove by again on my way home it had jumped 50 cents a gallon, to $3.59. A 50 cent increase in 8 hours.

pretty much explains it.
However im going to wait a week or so. if gas prices dont come down by then. Then Mr. Atorney general needs to launch a massive investigation into price gouging.

That he is working to insure that citizens aren't being gouged at the pumps leads one to believe that there may be reason to suspect that they have been. I can tell you that the state gas tax ranks firmly in the middle of national rates so if this is to be believed there must be some profiteeriing going on somewhere.

Gas is cheaper in Ohio because they have a flat tax per gallon of 28 cents. Indiana has an 18 cents per gallon tax, but they also charge 7% sales tax where Ohio does not have sales tax on gasoline.
