There were some folks blaming the "union thugs" in Indiana for the demise of Hostess; I wonder if those same folks have anything to say about this:

Hostess to seek judge's approval for executive bonuses » Evansville Courier & Press

ah priceless propaganda from Democrats.
As Winston Churchill once said:
If your not a liberal when your young you have no heart. If your not a conservative when your old you have no brain.

prop·a·gan·da (prp-gnd)
n.
1. The systematic propagation of a doctrine or cause or of information reflecting the views and interests of those advocating such a doctrine or cause.

Doesn't look like propaganda, it is a news article from the Evansville Courier and Press.

I am curious to know how the systematic mis-management of a company such as Hostess, who can now afford to pay million dollar bonuses to those same mis-managing executives, is the fault of hourly workers.

It always baffles me when corporations go to the bankruptcy court to insist that bonuses must be paid or executives will leave during the transition. Why not just let them leave?? They ran the company into the ditch. I'd rather they pay some recent b-school grads who could use the experience. How much worse could that be??

The now infamous "corporations are people too" comment of the past election cycle was one of the most outrageous statements I've ever heard. It told me everything I needed to know about the candidate...all negative. Reminded me greatly of the Robber Baron mentality spelled out in history books. Danger Will Robinson....danger. Lol.

pigs to the trough to get the crumbs before the bankruptcy judge gives payouts for pennies on the dollar to creditors.

"If you're not a liberal when you're 25, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative by the time you're 35, you have no brain." There is no record of anyone hearing Churchill say this. Paul Addison of Edinburgh University makes this comment: "Surely Churchill can't have used the words attributed to him. He'd been a Conservative at 15 and a Liberal at 35! And would he have talked so disrespectfully of Clemmie, who is generally thought to have been a lifelong Liberal?"

I just read those bonuses were approved.

I see that Grupo Bimbo, a Mexican concern, is at the top of the bidder list .. for the sake of the brand names alone ... anything with Bimbo would bring a chuckle.

Not quite as bad as when GM tried to market the Nova in Mexico.
