O"Rear's was at the bottom of the hill heading towards West Lafayette wasn't it?You had to park above it.

I can remember going to camp in West Lafayette a few years ago. It was fun!

I went to St. Boniface, and I remember dashing across 9th street for a sugar cookie from O'Rears after school, before the buses left! That was definitely the original bakery (the only one, back in the 70s!) I also remember being allowed to leave school for lunch, and walking down to McCord's candy shop for a coney dog and a fountain coke. I still make a point of visiting McCord's when I'm in town to sample their cinnamon caramels!! I'd definitely put McCord's on the list of must-visits. For the record, I like both Arni's and Pizza King pizza, and I THANK you so very much (not!) for making me crave this unavailable treat!!

You are so right, no better pizza than the ones I grew up on - Arni's AND Pizza King. I am also missing the Frozen Custard, terribly. Oh, what I would give to have a cherry sundae right now!!

That was Graves Bakery, just below the Triple XXX restaurant.

O'Rears Bakery was ALSO at Jefferson Square in the 1960's, 70's, etc. We lived near there and often purchased their yummy treats. I loved McCords and they are still open.
