Hey everyone. I am looking into moving to Evansville but I am wanting advice on subsidized apartments in Evansville. I have a 2-year-old son and so I am going to be needed a 2 bedroom apartment so he has his own room. I am also hoping for a place with a small playground outside but it's not necessary. A pool onsite would also be very nice, but again, not necessary. I would prefer an apartment complex that isn't very old and it must not be one that has a reputation for being child-friendly. In other words, I don't want a place where a lot of drug addicts and other sorts of criminals live.

There are not many Evansville posters here. It has been a very long time since I've lived in Evansville, and subsidized apartments are not my area of expertise. The biggest concentration of government subsidized apartments I know of are along Fulton Ave just south of Diamond, in an area that can be best described as not the greatest. However, I have known folks who lived there without any trouble. There used to be some subsidized apartments near Covert/Vann, which again, is not a great area. There used to be a subsidized place right off 164(now I 69) and Morgan Ave, but I don't recall the name of the place. That is a better area, but I don't know about the complex specifically.
