My husband is being transferred to Brazil IN. We currently live in a VERY rural area of Northeast PA. I would like any information on the Brazil or Seelyville area. Espicially, How is the weather there and do you have heavy snowfall in the winter? Thanks for your input.

Brazil and Seelyville area is nice.

As for the snow, not that often. We might get a 6inch snowfall every once in a while, we occasionally get ice. Nothing major.

If you are looking at buying a home, there is a home for sale in Seelyville for 44,500, but I know they will probably take less (used to be a great grandmothers home). It is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath witha 2 and 1/2 car garage. About 1000 sq. feet. Kitchen and living rooms are pretty big, and there is a front porch. The downside, it is directly across from the fire dept.

If you go to a terre haute home site and do a mls # search, 53555 is the mls number. It is a pretty peaceful area to live in. Cost of living is low. If you like the very rural area, there is some homes like that, but rural is a good word describing Seelyville.

Lived in BRAZIL area for 80 years & know it well. Snow and bad weather give no serious problems. City has outstanding parks, schools are a + larger cities are close bye TERREHAUTE 16 mi. & INDIANAPOLIS 54 mi. housing is plentiful both in city & rural area & very reasonable. YOU WILL LIKE "BRAZIL"
