There are several great quiet natural areas near Paoli. The Pioneer Grove is just a few miles south of Paoli on Hwy 37. If tree identification interests you take some binoculars to see the leaves. Unique and special

There are also a number of caves open to the public if that is your thing, Marengo, Wyandot, Squire Boone, Bluespring Caverns.

Indiana also has a number of nature preserves DNR: Nature Preserve Locations by County

Thank's Uplander. We went through the Wyandot, the long tour, in our younger days.

three thumbs up on this one!!!!!
I totally agree ~ The drive on 37 is beautiful and Paoli is such a quaint town.
I hope you enjoy your hidden gem CandyT

Hey, Candy! There is a house on top of a hill, in Marengo that is STUNNING (just too next door to the neighbors for our needs but is still gorgeous) Log home with 15 (?) acres. It's in Marengo but in Orange County (same as Paoli) and kids go to Orange County schools. I sent you my info already, so if ya want, I can send ya a link for the house!

I don't think she's moved yet though. But I do think she's still planning to so it may still be helpful

WE are moving up there in about 6 wks. Around first week of June. Trying to find a house or apt to rent while we look for a house.
