Anyone have Brighthouse internet service? How do you like it? I'm considering the 7M service, and it's about my only option to the LMPC.

I'm in Westfield.

I currently have DSL from the Local Monopoly Phone Company and my speed has decreased every month since getting it. Sometimes I watch the file transfer rate on download get down as low as dial up.

It is now VERY VERY SLOW and we get dropouts every 5 five seconds that may or may not come back in 5 five seconds.

My wife is a student and a solid internet connection is critical, since some of her assignments must be done on the internet in real time.

Thanks.

I have never had a problem with Bright House (road runner) internet. I watch videos and download stuff all the time. I even set up wireless and run my Wii through it.

We changed from Brighthouse to ATT mainly due to cost. Both had some issues with keeping the service constant but after 4 separate visits from ATT, the last apparently qualified technician found the wire on the pole had never been properly attached. No issues since.

Just curious, do you have a land line phone? I have ATT internet without phone service and apparently there are separate cords for people who only have DSL. Our internet went for about a week before they figured out the problem. Now if the wires ever get cut by construction workers they get the phone service fixed immediately, but our internet still takes a few days to get repaired.

I've had Brighthouse for three years and have had several customer service issues. Not showing up for appts, not calling, also cable going out for no reason.

Not very happy with them. Give them a C maybe

I liked Brighthouse. I hate Comcast and ATT.
