I'm sorry!

Yes, the site is www.gmau.org. I don't know why I type ".com". Old age, I guess

I checked an email from the sensei, and the Judo classes start at age 13.

We had our first night of fencing on Thursday with 13 in attendance, and a couple more who were unable to make the first night.

I will be out of town this week, and probably the next, but the rest of the club will still meet. Since I won't be there, there will be no dues collected.

I see that the Indianapolis Fencing Club is in a new location in Zionsville, if anyone is closer to there. They have classes starting at 8 years old.

Indianapolis Fencing Club

We will be fencing next Thursday, if anyone is interested in dropping by.

Yes, Bladepoint is on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Used to be Alexander's Fencing Academy, but Alexander moved to California, so Tim took over the club and renamed it Bladepoint. They just moved locations as well, but nowhere near the south side I'm afraid.

The club that's probably closest to the south side (close being relative) is IndySabre, which meets at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Nora. Their program is intense, old school Russian style training in saber.

One of my students is trying to get a club going at Marian College, which is a tiny bit closer to the south side, but it will probably be limited to students there.

Zig'sbird, stay out of harm's way over there in Iraq (as much as possible)!

BTW, I read an article in the USFA magazine about fencing going on in Iraq. I think a couple of the Army folk started it up. Have you run into anything while over there?

Tell Tim to open a place in Franklin or Greenwood! It would be awesome if he could open a little place in Columbus (we are supposed to be getting an indoor sports arena, btw), but I'd be willing to drive to Franklin, mmmmmmmaybe Greenwood.

I didn't realize how far south you are...

The closest club to you (close, of course, still being relative) is probably Bloomington Fencing Club. They start lessons at 10 years old.
