So... I am planning on moving to Indy in June 2011,and need some info such as housing, taxes ,safe areas. My husband is being transferred in April (were from Mass,) and hope to fit in as we are BIG Pats fans, but won"t flaunt it. Any info will be greatly appreciated,as we know nothing about the area,as we just found out yesterday about his company relocating Thanks P.S. Hope the Colts beat the Jets tonite!!!!

Butter 'em up while your still out in MA!!!! I think the one thing you'll notice immediately is how low your taxes will be in Indiana as opposed to MA.

Feel free to peruse the various topics on the Indianapolis board. That's a good starting point. Also, there's a thread I started where you can find basic Indiana information.

Go Bears.

How 'bout those J.E.T.S JETS JETS JETS..!! lol.. Moved here from NY.!
Now about your move.... where you will be working plays a big part as to where to look,,,
Been there done that~ The northside is really nice to visit but as a previous reader commented- there is Plenty more for your money, far less traffic (although there is plenty of building going on) on the west/sw side of the city. Brownsburg, Avon, Plainfield...etc. You're also closer to downtown INDY and the airport.! Out of all those cities mentioned, during my search→ I prefered to stay West. I visit each town a few times every year for kids Basketball.! ~. and see those Northside cities and the people-
nice.. but I'm not unhappy about my choice- 46123.
Good Luck..
Go Jets..!
