Does anyone have any updates regarding any new developments with this mall?? The last that I know was that last year, the mall was finally purchased by a new company (Poag Shopping Centers, LLC)...but haven't heard anything after that.

I really think that there is a lot of potential for this mall to be a major destination for the west suburban area of Indianapolis!

They're renaming it and giving it a makeover, but no plans for expansion as far as I know.

I was confused about that mall myself. Being fairly new to Indianapolis, I haven't found any malls that I would consider "upscale". But I hate to be critical, because everyone I have met in Indianapolis for the most part very nice, and they just don't know any different, so I would never say that to anyone, like oh your malls suck. But they do.

How would you define "upscale mall"?

I would think an upscale mall would have stores like

Tiffany
Barneys
Brooks Brothers
Nieman Marcus
Saks
Restoration Hardware
Burberry
Chanel
Ralph Lauren
Allen Edmunds
Zegna
Armani
Gucci
Hermes
Prada
Ferragamo

I am over the age of 12, so naturally going to the mall is not an important part of my life. Oh, our malls suck? Good to know. I will keep that in mind next time I am at the mall not buying anything.

I suppose The Fashion Mall would come closest. Has some but not all of those stores.

Yeah, the Fashion mall at Keystone is ok, but still kind of lame. Like for example they have a Nordstrom, but it's the saddest Nordstrom I have ever been to, but it is probably the nicest mall I have found in Indy. Passable, but not great. At least parking is easy though.

The only Nordstrom at which I shop is Nordstrom Rack. Maybe I'm typical for the region, but I think most of the prices at places like Nordstrom, Saks and Von Maur are insane. I'm a Rack and T.J. Maxx shopper.

I love bargains and have often shopped at Nordstrom Rack, but if the only Nordstrom Rack you know is the one in Indy, you're lucky, because you don't know how much you're missing. The Nordstrom Rack in Indy is very sad too. Nordstrom Rack is known as a great place to buy shoes for example, but the one in Indy has a really sub-par selection and tends to sell mostly cheaper quality, lower end merchandise. Then again I grew up only a very short distance from Nordstrom's flagship store and 4 story Nordstrom Rack a few blocks away.
