Since Indy is hosting the Superbowl in 2012 what have you guys noticed that has changed in the city. What major construction is happening in your neighborhood and is it for the better or worse? Also do you think Indy would be up to challenge to try and bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics or 2022 Winter Olympics.

All i have noticed in my area of Indy is theres more houses being redone and that JW Marriott in downtown.

Edit: Also feel free to use this post to update on news around the metro area

JW Marriott is well the biggest thing as the city needed a big hotel. The cultural trail which will be great once its completely done. Right now downtown is doing about 4bil in construction to finish up this year.

Indy could not host the winter olympics due to the lack of viable sky locations. Summer is out of the question right now due to the city just not having enough hotel rooms. I think the city would do an excellent job due to the big events it puts on every year and definitely have top rated facilities for it.

I would prefer Indianapolis not waste its time trying to bid for the Summer Olympics.

How come cause in all honesty the Super Bowl is a more American event but the Olympics has athletes coming from all different countries to participate and get to know the city

The IOC does not want the summer games in the USA. Maybe when a new regime steps in, but it feels like a waste of resources for any American city at this point.

However, if we are pretending to live in an idealist fantasy land, then sure, bid away Naptown!
