Im a 26 year old black male living in the surburbs of Atlanta.Im in bad need of a change in scenery..I want a city with a nice mix of both city and country life.I love partying and clubbing, but I dont want a city where that atmosphere is overwhelming.Id love to move to the Greenwood area, seems pretty nice, but I heard it was turning bad(ghetto folks and such). My price range for an apartment is 400-530 dollars a month. Its all I can afford since I work at Wal Mart. What are your Wal Marts like in Indy?Another thing Im very considered about is your women.I love my down-home,freindly,smile at you for no reason Southern women. What are the women like in Indianpolis? Also, this may sound funny, but I prefer to live around country, trailer park kind of folks. Can I find a ligitemate "white trash"(lol)neigborhood in Greendwood,Franklin or nerarby?Or is that too close to the city?Pretty much what Im looking for is still be able to surround myself with the "Wal Mart Crowd"while being close to Chicago(my hometown)and enjoy a nightlife that is exciting, but not overwhelming..Im pretty set on Indy,am I making the right choice??

Greenwood is NOT ghetto and where you get your information there you should question those people alot to see if they are just spewing lies. Greenwood park mall is a major shopping center and staple to the Indy Metro area. Also greenwood is growing fast too like Hamilton County/Carmel/Fishers.

Edit: Also one tip that will go very far in our area as long as racism goes. Don't cause problems and mind your business and there won't be any racism against you. I am white and i don't mind blacks as long as they A follow the law and B don't talk trash and racism back at me etc. Simple Hoosier Hospitality at its finest
Also i think your making the right choice based on what you said. One Major Advantage Indy has as the fastest growing region in the midwest is each year more diversity comes to our city

The eastern side of Greenwood should meet most of your demands, except for the nightlife part. But you're only 25 minutes from downtown, so that's not too bad!

Domergurl. I dont know what i said that was offensive in my post. My history on this site speaks for itself. If i did offend i appoligize. I was answering op on his question. My workers who live and work in greenwood state that the t.p. Types hes looking for are there. Its not to say all greenwood is that way: plus if hes looking to transfer theres a wallmart on 31 that should work for him.
