My neighborhood is eerily quiet. Usually many of my neighbors host huge fireworks displays several days before and after the 4th. Some of these would rival the displays put on by communities and small towns.

Are your neighbors respecting the ban on fireworks?

So far all has been quiet in my neighborhood since the ban went into effect. Before that was a different story.

I have two dogs, border collies, who are scared and nervous when the neighbors are shooting off fireworks. They both hide and refuse to come out when they hear fireworks, even if they are quite a distance away. So the quiet nights and evenings are much appreciated in my household.
