I might be getting a job as a TSO at the Indy airport.Just wondering how safe the area is,how much apartments cost and if anyone knows what it is like to work as a TSO? I will be hired to work the x-ray body scanners.I would just like to know more about the job and location-it's got to be better than my job as a deli worker in a ****ty grocery store!!! Got laid-off as an x-ray tech and desperately need a better job. Could this be it?

There is nothing "around the airport" since I saw in another post you will not have a car. You will probably be reliant on the Indygo bus system. You need to go to their website and check the route for #8 which is the only bus to go to the airport.

This will give you the route and then you can see what is available. There are some apartments along Washington Street and within a few blocks. But check the times the bus runs and being a TSO your hours may be variable. A good thing to know before you take a job you cannot get to.

Indianapolis is very spread out and the airport property is huge.
