Particular to this discussion, I think folks see our facilities are falling behind and, thus, we may be losing the advantage we once had for hosting amateur sporting events. So, it's more a call to do something.
Then we can have a call to action.
But always being naysayers isnt going to get action done.

The Channel 13 piece was a call to action. This thread is a call to action.

Blaming some former politician from the Cretaceous period is your idea of a "call to action?"

I hope whatever call to action takes place it works. Of course I can see IU raising tuition to help pay for saving the natatorium. Then we will see another post, placing a call to action about out-of-control tuition hikes!

Pointing out the genesis of the problem, that's all

I just got home from the nat a little while ago. The place is falling apart ... The pool looks good for the most part, but the concourses ... Yikes! It's worth saving! I saw some great swimming tonight.

Having spent the last two weekends at the Nat ... sigh. It will be a damn shame if the place goes away, or worse, isn't fixed up. I watched American records fall .. one of Michael Phelp's American records was tied. I met some great people in the stands. My son got autographs from former Olympic gold medalists ...

My kids did an NCAA sponsored swim clinic in the instruction pool and it was in bad shape. It needs massive TLC.

Something needs to be worked out. Save the Nat.
