The Kentucky derby possibly the most famous horse race in the world is run less than a 3 hour drive from Indy so i think the name Colts fits Indy maybe even better than Baltimore even though Maryland also has a classical equine history. When I drive down I65 to Loisville all I see is horse ranches so i think the name is really appropriate and if you would have left it up to the people of Indy they could have only done worse. There is only one other pro sports franchise that I think did better in transplanting an appropriate name and that was the Los Angeles lakers
