It take 3 1/2 to 4 hours to get home, of course

Default Beach at Geist

I moved here from Long Island, NY and I, too, miss the beach and the ocean. I drive up to Lake Michigan -- St. Joseph's or Benton Harbor. The Indiana Dunes in Michigan City is a bit closer -- but you can see smoke stacks and that ruins the peaceful purpose!!! There are some nice pools around. If you become a member of a Y you can use the pool at any location. The outdoor pool at The Y at Ft Ben is great. Don't go to the one at The Y in Fishers as it's crowded -- and the chaises literally are lined up in a huge row, touching one another. You have to climb onto the chase from the base of it because it's wall to wall.

That pool in Fishers is huge. It gets busy on the weekends, but it would take quite a lot to make it "full."
