I am transferring in the next few months to Indianapolis, will be working at the airport. I need to find a house with a few acres, as I have dogs and a couple horses. I would like to be within 30 - 45 minutes from the airport. Any advice on nice country cities within that distance would be greatly appreciated.

That shouldn't be too difficult as the airport is right on the edge of town. You could look around Plainfield, Avon, Danville, Mooresville, maybe even Brownsburg or Pittsboro. All those areas would easily be within 30 minutes of the airport with Plainfield being right at the doorstep. You could even look down toward Bargersville or Whiteland, though you're getting further from the airport there, but still within your 45 minute requirement. All of those towns are just as you're starting to transition from rural farmland to the city of Indianapolis so hopefully you could find something.

+1 for Mooresville, Plainfield, Avon, or Brownsburg. I would think you could find something in/around any of those that would suit your needs.

For the record, Ronald Reagan Parkway currently only runs from I-70 to around the border between Brownsburg and Avon. There's currently also a section completed at I-74, but the 2 segments haven't been connected yet. It won't be long before that's complete, though. Will just take one guy working for 9 months while 10 others stand around and chat.
