If you end up at North Haven, there is a closer
Kroger at 116th and Allisonville

Theres also a home available for rent in guilford park subdivison. I can see it by my front door. Last time it was listed at 1800 or so. I think its a 4 or 5 bedroom home.

This would be at guilford and 116th in carmel. Guilford is right by college so between meridian and keystone

Lived there as well Mike. First in a town home for a year and then in an apartment for a few years. When did you live there? I moved to Carmel Center in 2003 and moved back to Caslteton in 2007.

Thanks for the info! Carmel ISN'T far by any stretch but maybe further than I like...I just don't know till we get there! There are wonderful choices though. We're not interested in renting a house just yet...that may come later but for now, the ease of an apartment will help make the transition a bit easier.

I've been so overwhelmed with choices but again, the true test will be when we get there...and that will be either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning...WOOHOO!!

Any last minute tips or suggestions, I'm more than willing to take and then I'll keep you all posted once I'm here.

Thanks again for all the help!!

Did you make it to Indy ? I am curious what you found in terms of apartments ? I am just seeing this post now and I would have recommended a few complexes on Allisonville North of 96th. Proximity to your work and much shopping. I live near Nora - (Whole Foods, Kroger) nearby but would not recommend the apartments nearby and never would recommend Broad Ripple for "quiet" --- that's a contradiction. If you haven't found anything or need any help with referrals to any businesses let me know....I happen to be a Realtor and am a Certified Relocation Specialist (means some special training and I deal with a lot of people moving to the area). I recently checked out Frankton. It is NE of Indy, just north of the Allisonville area, and about 5 miles north of Anderson. (I would NOT recommend Anderson for living, however.) Frankton is a very small town, but much progress is currently being made. New streets, lighting, library, full school system, some new subdivisions. It is very quiet. (I am a native of Dallas and agree it has grown considerably since my school days.)
