46234
Brownsburg
Avon
Danville.

Theres tons of apartment communities in 46214,224,234. I would look there first. All should be in your budget. You need to come tour the locations and find one you love.

Are you from Indiana coming back or from Alabama moving up? It doesn't matter, really. Just curious. I see many make the break from Indiana then end up coming back due to family. For me, I'd be interested in Alabama due to getting out of the winter. I made the break myself and ended up back here again. :-)

Thanks! This has been very helpful! Do you know if most of these apartments require Credit Checks? I know a lot of them where I'm in Alabama don't so I didn't know if most did in Indy.

I'm from Alabama moving up. I may be getting a job in Indy. And I'm just ready for something new. I've been in Alabama my whole life and the part of Alabama I'm in is ridiculously redneck, not trying to be rude, but there is NOTHING to do here and no jobs so I'm looking outside of Alabama. I don't mind the cold, it gets cold here, and it's really bitter cold too because of all the humidity. And it gets stupid hot here in the summer. lol.

That area is not bad at all for the city.

Perfect. I love these apartments. I read an article about a shooting on the street there back in 2013 but there hasn't been anything that I can find about anything else recently. If anyone else knows anything else about these let me know. If not I will probably put these at the top of checking out if I get the job.

16 Park is public housing. I don't know what the parameters are for qualifying to live there are; rents on apartments like that would be much higher at market rate.

It's a nice area though. Wife, child, and I went for a walk in that neighborhood this weekend. One of our favorite coffee shops, Foundry Provisions, is right there at 16th and Alabama.

I didn't notice this. These apartments are probably 25%-40% below market rate. One thing I noticed in a prior move was that these income restricted apartments often had a rent that was way too high as a percentage of income than most landlords would feel comfortable renting to.
