I grew up in Brownsburg, but have spent the past 15+ years in Greenwood, Castleton, Fishers and Geist. My daughter now lives in Brownsburg, so I'm looking for a condo on the far west side. I've found several in the area between Eagle Creek Reservoir (west) and 465 (east), and 56th St. (north) and Crawfordsville Road (south). These neighborhoods, Eagle Creek (Cobblestone, etc.), Eagle Valley/Valley Farms, and the Islands, were nice when I was a teenager, but I've heard conflicting opinions on them now. Does anybody have recent information on demographics, crime, etc.?

I lived with a friend on Maritime Drive very close to the Islands (actually the place we lived in might have been part of The Islands, not really sure) and never had any problems. I think it's a good place to live. It's mixed demographically/racially, but again, I never had any problems with anyone there.
