I think because "boneheads" are usually found in abundance in lower income areas, and the near east side qualifies as such an area. As such it is expected that a certain % of the lower income population will engage in criminal or reckless activity which will result in death. Fishers, being middle to upper class, with maybe a sliver of lower income residents, should follow the logic that such boneheaded activity would be nonexistent. However, the first murder shows that many of our youth are in serious trouble with the live fast, party hard lifestyles that too many want to live. Constant intoxication can lower ones intelligence level and then then do something stupid. The Twitters that followed that first stabbing homicide gave a good insight on how middle to upper income "kids" are living today. Additionally, someone has been claiming on some local blogs/webpages that there is going to be a documentary released about heroin in Fishers. Some claiming about a number of former high school students who have ODed (and I guess passed away) from heroin from a certain recent graduation class.
