We're driving up for Thanksgiving to visit family who live in the Noblesville area. But with the construction, trying to merge on to I465 East has been terrible; with the holiday traffic, I'm sure it will be even worse. What would be the easiest route through or around the city? We will be coming in on Wednesday and it will be 4 or 5 pm when we get up there. Just in time for rush traffic! Thanks!

You could get off 65 at Southport Rd; take a left on Emerson; and take Emerson up to 465. Though, that corner of Southport and Emerson might be congested too. I don't know that there is another really good way to go unless you want to take a super back way. 31 North parallels 65 on the southside, but you'll still hit the 65/465 intersection.

If you are feeling adventurous, you could hit 31 north down by Columbus and take that into the city instead of 65. Follow 31 North until it becomes East Street at 465, eventually it becomes Madison Ave you could take that into downtown and hit 70 east to 465 north.

Thanks, Toast - those ideas help a lot. It's been a long time since I've lived in Indiana so I had no clue.

Where are you actually coming from? Depending on your departure location, you could even come into the city via I-70 or I-74 instead.
