Does anyone know anything about The Meadows of Shelbourne at Deer Path by Centex? We were told we should purchase before April 1st because the pricing of the home are going up and they are taking away the incentives. Just wondering how the area is, the reputation of Centex homes. If anyone owns one? Any tips on buying with centex or what to expect. We reserved a lot and are planning on purchasing on Sunday. Any advice or input is very much appreciated! Thanks

We owned a Centex home in Fishers and never had any issues with it structurally ... now the previous owners did a lot of crap, which we had to deal with, but as far as what Centex did, we never had problems.

I wouldn't let Centex scare you into purchasing though. Are you working with a realtor? They may be able to give you the lowdown.

Yes, Easy Street Reality. They are saying the same thing about the incentives, and price of the homes.
Buying your first home is scary. It is very close to the verizon amphitheatre. Will that decrease the value of the house? The speakers of the amphitheatre face the opposite way.

I lived in Royalwood, which isn't far from Shellbourne. I used to hear concerts every now and then, but not many. I think I heard Ozzie Osbourne once.

How's the traffic on Greenfield Ave. now?

The traffic seemed to be fine. The community seems very nice. We are somewhat new to Indy from Valparaiso and we love it so far! However, I did read on the bbb that they suspended Centex’s accreditation on Feb 28,2008, for the corporate headquarters in TX, but the bbb accreditation checks out for Indy so as long as this irons out we will be Noblesville residents soon! Thanks for you feedback!

We moved to Fishers from Valpo too! Small world. We left Fishers in June of last year for Columbus.

I'm wondering about how the music center impacts Meadows of Shelbourne at Deer Path? We're getting ready to do a house there. How loud does it get? I would imagine it helps that the speakers face the other way.
