Good day all! My husband will be moving to Indy in 2 weeks - my boys and I will stay behind so they can finish school and we can sell our home. For financial reasons, my husband is looking to stay in an extended stay-type place as they are furnished and will rent on a week-to-week basis. Once we arrive, we will rent an apartment prior to house-hunting. In the meantime, he will be working at the airport so can anyone suggest a SAFE extended-stay choice for this type of living arrangement? Also, we have narrowed our housing search down to the Fishers area, either Fishers high school or Hamilton Southeastern - any suggestions on decent 2-bedroom apartments in that area? Also, why are some of the middle schools called "intermediate schools"? Is there a difference? Thanks to all for your comments/ideas/suggestions...

Hi Donzelle, I know there is an extended stay place by the airport but I have never stayed there, so I don't know how nice it is.

As far as schools, some districts have elementary, intermediate, middle, and then high schools, some have just elementary, middle and high. I think they did it to make class sizes smaller, and to be able to focus on the different needs of the different age groups as well. Intermediate is usually grade 5&6 I think.

Feel free to contact me if you need help finding your home!

Default Extended Stay America

This is where we stayed in a recent trip to Indianapolis. We stayed by the airport but there were several scattered up and down the main interstates. It was clean and fairly comfortable, not fancy but reasonably priced. Good luck with the move, we are heading out at the end of July-at the desperately seeking housing stage
