Looking to find a good compromise between 2 work commutes, one located on Castle Creek Parkway and the other headed to Palestine area. Yikes, currently living in Washington township and very happy with amenities, location, conditions, but need to increase living space and continue to rent in a decent area.

Would appreciate information and opinions about the Lawrence area for a good condo rental, or apartment. I am currently looking at this new Otis at Fort Ben. What are the impressions of that area? I have not read many favorable opinions of the eastside, and concerned about long term commitment there.

What are the impressions of the Irvington area? Are there any good rentals there?

I lean toward Fishers for a rental apartment, but that commute may become the issue.
Thanks in advance for your comments and help.

Irvington is a nice place. I've talked to people who've lived there for decades without any problems.

If you're looking at the area around Ft. Ben, I would not go much farther south than 56th.

As you go further south in Lawrence Township, it gets worse and worse. The northern half of the township is pretty decent and extremely nice in the Geist area. It's one of the most interesting places in the country, with how close some of the worst areas are from some of the nicest areas in the county/metro.

Thank so much for the help. Decided to stick with great location in Washington township, close to everything, and walkable to shops, coffee, etc and very happy to find larger apartment available.
