I'm an engineer in IT in NY and am looking at where I can find tech jobs in INdianapolis area. I'm contemplating on moving to the suburbs of Carmel for the school district and buy a house there. I've a family with a 4-year old and a baby on the way. Can someone please provide any info on the good school districts to buy a house in? What companies do most residents work there?

I would imagine an engineer in IT would have no problem finding a remote position at this time. Maybe look for something with an office in Chicago, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis.

BTW--there are not suburbs of Carmel. Carmel is a suburb of Indianapolis.

Look into Pinnacle Partners. They are a big staffing agency for the area, staffing permanent and contract roles.

I used to work at Charles River Development - at the time, we were based near Keystone at the Crossing. When I hired in, we were in a Regus office at 96th and College, and at the time, Amazon, Microsoft, and Baker Daniels (a law firm, but obviously had IT jobs there) were prominent tenants in that complex. I had a friend that came from Blackbaud. Some came from Ascension and IUPUI. Take a look at the typical healthcare/college/government employers as well. Eli Lilly, if you can get on without contracting, could be a good situation.
