I am looking for some new/newer homes on the west side of Carmel, but i need the development names.

I only knowone so far, Claybourne, i have found a site that will let me search by subdivision....So here is what i am looking for........

4000+ sq ft in a place where there are actually kids and or families outside, big lots, not right next to each other....under $600k, preferably under $500k, but just to be exploring all my options..Would like a semi custom or custom, not too production type, but will look at what ever suggestions you guys throw my way...

Thanks!!!!

You will have plenty of options. Here are a few I can think of off the top of my head:

Aberdeen Bend – Silverthorne
Cass Estates – Shoopman
Lakes at Towne Road – Shoopman
Lincolnshire – Estridge
Lakeside Park – Drees
Long Ridge Estates – Pulte
Ballantrae
Saddlebrook

I am sure there are more, I will post again if I think of any more.

cravenclan, let me know what subdivisions you like. we're in the same boat as you, except we live in CA and we're not able to drive around the carmel area to look at houses... we're moving to carmel in DEC and looking to buy in the next month or two. we're looking around 600k, so let me know what you see and like. thanks!

Actually the ones i liked (online) came up in Zionsville....Cass Estates.. I want to be in the Carmel Clay school District, and that also came up on the ones i looked at...Does anyone know what elementary school Cass estates goes to?? Then i can check it out online.

Domergurl..I know you are familair (expert) in this,,,So why Zionsville over Carmel?? Also Taxes?? I need to know that as well when deciding where to live, and how much house we can afford.

Saddlebrook, was BEAUTIFUL, but out of my price range.....I want more quality of life, that is why we are leaving Ca, Big houses are nice, i have had my share, but i don't like to spend all my time cleaning!!!! NO NO!!!

i'm sure you already know about village of west clay in carmel and stonegate in zionsville... though might be too pricey? we though laurel lakes had some nice houses in the range you mentioned... it's across the street from village of west clay.

here are all the additions we toured a couple months ago:

carmel
deleware trace
foster estates
kings mill
laurel lakes
moffit farm
brooks landing
windpoint
village of west clay

fishers
canal place
cambridge
hawthornes

zionsville
austin oaks

they may not all be exactly what you're looking for... but they all have nice houses and good schools.

Lived in Fishers for 4 years, had to go to Carmel to visit friends/go to Gymboree a couple times a week.

Zionsville isn't as sprawling and suburban-y as Carmel & Fishers. Yes, taxes are higher, but their school system was the only school system in the state that was NATIONALLY ranked.
