Does anyone have a link detailing this urban training. I just find it hard to believe that they are actually using artillery. I guess though that now all things are possible.

Last I heard, the urban training ended in June.

I grew up in So. Indiana near quarries so I'm used to the shaking and rumbling. I don't know if there's any around here, though I guess it's worth checking out.

Artillery!? What? No way they are using that in URBAN training. They are probably using Helicopters and Fast-roping into certain areas. Where did you come up with Artillery?

Loud rumbles and booms. Helicopters on their own don't go boom.

Besides, the way the OP posted it, it does not sound like some copters. Besides, I think most people know what one sounds like even if it is flying map of the earth.

Grew up/used to live in Acton. Closest thing I know of is some sort of Army National Guard unit off I-74 in Shelby Co. They have choppers there.

I guess it's possible they could have acquired some land in western Shelby Co. for artillery detonation? I'm going to guess you live in the new housing addition south of the Acton grade school?

Closest thing around here that rumbled or boomed when I was there were those kids with stereo systems in their cars...if not everyone in town who owned a gun and were allowed to shoot on their property. Ah....the old days.
