I used to sell new home construction for 11 years. I sold all over the surrounding Indianapolis and burbs. (Brownsburg, Fishers, Greenwood, Franklin Township in Marion County, etc) I can safely say that EVERY area I sold homes in I had about 15% of my homeowners gay or lesbian. Many of the homeowners seemed to accept and include them/their children and there were ALWAYS the small percentage that treated them like the plague.
Unless you purchase resale in the artsy districts (near Meridian/Kessler, Broad Ripple, Butler) you are not going to get much of a change on that statistic.

However, having read the comments..... I would add that the south side had just as much acceptance as the north/west/east side. Sometimes there is that perception that it's more 'redneck' and that was not the case.
