I was looking for a new doctor and was trying to find a forum or a rating service where I could find out about prospective doctors, but I could not find one. So I decided to start one here. Please post all the info and recommendations you have about local doctors, good or bad. List specialties and all other pertinent information.

This is a good idea. It is very hard to find a good doctor. And all of the rating sites do not have very many ratings. Are you looking for a doctor for yourself or your kids? I go to Dr. Ayres in Fishers and he is great. Very personable. He has made the top doctors in INdy list several times. There is also Dr. Ciccuria (sp ?) in Carmel. I hear he is great too but almost impossible to get in to. When I tried he was not taking new patients but its worth a shot. He also has made the top Doctors in INdy list.

I thought I would also take the time to put my 2 cents in on Pediatrician's in the area. Dr. Brian Benjamin in Noblesville is awesome. I have never met a better doctor. Unfortunatley my insurance changed and I now have to go to only St. Vincents doctors. Fishers Pediatrics is where we decided to take my kids and I would not recommend it. My son ended up in ER with pneumonia because after 3 visits of me insisting that something was wrong with his lungs and them blowing me off he got worse. They did the same thing with my daughter just recently for a different problem and now we have another ER bill that we have to pay. Just a little bit to think about.

Thanks, I'll have to check to see if any of these doctors are in my health network.
