Thanks for all the replies, I think we'll look at Fishers and Carmel for housing. IS one of those known to have better schools than the other or are they on par with one another?

You should check the website: GreatSchools - Public and Private School Ratings, Reviews and Parent Community it offers parent reviews, test stats, etc for each school.

I don't think you can say one is better than the other. Fishers has two high schools, Carmel has one - so that might be something to consider - whether you want to send your kids to a 4000 student high school vs a 2500 student HS. But I think Carmel isn't going to grow much more - but Fishers, I believe has more room to grow
