Hello, my wife and I are relocating to the Indy area and liked the city of Westfield. Since we are having our first baby Feb 11 2010, we were looking for a safe and family friendly area to live in. We also want to be close to shops and nice places to eat. What is there to do in Westfield that would meet my criteria? I am more concerned with the family events that might be around... e.g. festivals, pumpkin patches, concerts, etc.

Thank you!

well ... considering you will be in the indianapolis area, there's plenty of shopping areas in and around westfield. and since you are having a baby soon (congrats), you'll definitely want to check out the children's museum of indianapolis, which is fun for all ages.

A lot of the development and restaurants are in the southern part of Westfield around 146th street. Westfield seems to be growing from the south east to the north west.
