Yes, but the effort required to do so compared to the alternative is ridiculous. It's like having your engine rebuilt because you need an oil change.

Can you imagine some poor newbie getting that poster as the the first respondent and deciding to heed their advice? If you've ever reformatted and installed you know what is required...
