Has anyone ever used SAP's support website and portal?

SAP is a German software company that specializes in various business software, unfortunately their website is not the easiest to use, or not very user friendly to put it in another way. As an example, if you want to open a case on their support portal to report a problem with one of their products, you have to go through too many steps to accomplish that, and once you get to the webpage to enter the information about the problem, they ask you for too much unnecessary information, most of it may not be relevant to the particular problem you want to report. Aside from that, the data is not organized very well on the website and you have to spend a lot of time to figure out which product on the webpage matches the product you want to report the problem with.

Whatever happened to KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) ?

I have used their site back in 2005 and still use their NetWeaver, WAS and ECC 5.0 platforms..on occasion.

SAP knows they have many problems and they try to make you work for it...unfortunately this has become all to common amongst the software vendors now.
