When i visit the DEMO PAGE (http://3liz.org/geolocation) with MyIE2,nothing is listed on the map

Earlier i was on another computer using FF3.5.15 and it asked if i wanted to share my location when i went to the demo page.. (@ least it doesnt do it automatically)

I clicked YES and couldnt believe how close it is!!

You're not really stopping them... You've just been given a false sense of security is all.

The one thing you CAN'T hide is your IP address, and the MaxMind database for those is pretty accurate with U.S. IPs. The only way around that is to use a proxy service.

The site you linked to placed me dead-center in the Las Vegas valley, with a margin of error that covered the entire city. The MaxMind result is a lat/lon that's just over a mile from my home.
