It happens about every couple hours...sometimes more. Just flat lose the connection everywhere....whether that is Google Chrome or Firefox or Explorer.

I suspect hacking myself?

Incredibly obnoxious in my estimation.

no idea what cricket is, but if its wireless and you are moving around you will lose connection every so often. It happens with 3G, it happens with 4G.

Cricket is a cell phone company who also offers USB internet service.

Probably a feature to prevent always on connections which waste their bandwidth. Learn to live with it.

If it were a keep-alive doing the disconnect wouldn't it be a regular event rather than whenever like the OP states?

Cricket as in cell phone? There's your answer right there. Hackers causing the disconnect? kinda doubt it.

Do agree that either the OP learns to live with it or go with a real ISP.

Could be time-out from the server side, the about every two hours suggests it reads a database and acts based on that. (This is totally a guess.)
