I've been wondering - are there any trusted and safe programs available that assist an individual in downloading youtube video's? I've googled the question itself but come up with a thousand different websites offering programs - none of them i'm willing to download of course due to skepticism, malware, viruses, etc etc etc.
Has Youtube changed something? When I download a video now, it plays once and then won't work again, or won't play without an internet connection. I haven't investigated which yet. I just know it doesn't work the same as it has for the past few years.
It's always been my understanding that as soon as somebody creates a program that downloads YouTube videos, YouTube quickly finds a way to defeat it. Which is why there is not an obvious, well-klnown, easy application.
So my question isn't worth answering? (I wasn't the spammer that revived this thread by the way).
yeah... youtube keeps changing the flash format of their vids and the layout and everything. It's really annoying. I don't think there's a replay function on the YT viewer anymore. and before, with slow/throttled bandwidth wifi (like hotspots) you could download a good portion of the vid before viewing so it wouldn't stutter & freeze. Not any more.
