You won't really notice unless your network traffic is pretty high. Our home network carries all our tv, movies, and music to each TV from a central tuner and storage drives, and it would never work on a wifi network. Even if i tried, it would make web browsing on the laptops extremely slow. If you're just browsing, wireless works just fine.
