iTunes can be used for listening to music files on your hard drive or for listening to streaming radio stations. Listening to music files on your hard drive uses no bandwidth on your Internet connection. If you use it for listening to streaming radio stations, it does use bandwidth on your Internet connection, which can slow it down for other uses.

Watching YouTube videos would use more bandwidth on your Internet connection than iTunes would, because video files are bigger than audio files.

If doing those things noticeably affects the speed at which other web sites load, then you should consider upgrading your Internet service with your provider. It might also be a sign that a computer that's a few years old needs an upgrade or to be replaced.

So what is the best web browser to use? Google Chrome or FireFox?

Why not try them both out for yourself and make that determination?

No-one knows what you like better than you

I used to be a big firefox advocate, but it's gotten bloated in recent versions. I'm using Chrome now, and I like it. I do get some incompatibilities sometimes with some of the sites I work with (especially getting into the web interface on our Cisco switches and routers, bleh!) but it's rare enough that it doesn't warrant using an alternative.
