Searched, but couldn't find duplicate situ:
I logged onto my Gmail account today, and could not log in; said I had to re-set password, waddle into Google to answer the security questions,
and use the selected phone number contact for them to send me a re-set #.
Got it back, and running. Anyone else have this happen? Is it rare, or just bad luck?
Coincidentally, I glance up at the top right of screen and see a different 'name' in place of my name, where GOOG+ has our name place.
I click on there and up pops my profile page, and a 'name' that says
Yamaha Comfirm, in place of my name. Guess they couldn't spell confirm...
NEway, tossed what little info I had in my GOOG+ profile, and got my name back.
I have been on GOOG+ about 3 times since I got it way back when.
Any way to fully delete GOOG+ without tossing my Gmail info along with all of the typical interconnected GOOG stuff?
Any comments or opins, or advice? I try to very cautious on web stuff and, the bad guys out there.
Thanks, mD
PS: IE9, occasional Chrome, Windows 7, fairly new box, run Norton 12, Malwarebytes, don't go near skin sites, etc.
