I've been on FB for a couple of months. In digging up people from HS, college and post-college social clubs, you learn that people have DIED at an early age (i.e. in their 40s). You even see that there are walls dedicated to those people either individually... or info about their passing is in a wall for a social group that used to exist (sort of an "alumni" page).
In a couple of instances, I've messaged people who ran the "walls" and asked what happened. These are people I knew and the people I've sent the message to are at least acquaintances. No answers. If I received such a question and knew the person, I would tell them what happened (heart attack, cancer, accident). What's the big deal? What do you think the protocol is around this issue? People can be so uptight, it seems.
