It was in 1996, I had webtv, a friend called it a glorified Atari. I was paying by the minute, as there were no Internet providers in Sedona at that time. So logging on was like making a long distance call to Flagstaff. My email address was only 4 digits.
I remember the WebTV days, man how things have changed.
Does anyone remember the Juno Free e-mail accounts?
Bought a dinosaur desktop in 1990 for $500 and wasn't online until 1992 with a dial-up connection, but, had a newer model desktop by then. With the first machine, I could connect to the library in Oklahoma City which was exciting.

I first started using a friend's university email account in 1986 (in order to email my father who already had his university email account in 1985 - note my father was in a different city). I got my first own email account in 1989 on CompuServe.
