Are there any "best" such programs, or all they pretty much the same?

I was under the impression Brian was looking for a user name/password database type tool, not something to track log ons to a PC, now we'll have to wait and see...

When I want to log on to whatever I need to log on, I'd rather not have them written down. The latter is what my wife does...

But sometimes a site will remember and sometimes not. If the latter, then I have to go through extra steps in order to figure out what that log-in is. I'm assuming there'll be a learning curve...

For general use sites like this and other forums I use IE's password storage, for sites like banking, credit cards, and site where purchases are made, I use Password Agent, and the reason I use it is there is nothing stored in the cloud like many other password apps, everything is local, no way on Gods green earth I'd allow banking/credit card logons to be stored online by some 3rd party company that may or may not have a clue about securing customer data.

What is wrong with I.E. or FF's password storage like tek mentioned?

That's local storage and secure...

It's also unencrypted and can be accessed by anyone that gains access to the computer. Forget the name of it but there's an app that will list all stored browser usernames and passwords and the sites they belong to, not my idea of secure.
