Just to heads up to those experiencing issues or abnormalities after upgrading their Firefox/Waterfox browser. Do not install the new version without uninstalling the previous version first.
Even though it should not cause any problems to update FF/WF by simply installing the newer version, I have experienced odd behavior and slight lagging after updating FF/WF from version 10 to 13 and more so from 13 to 15.
I looked in Programs and Features aka Add-Remove Programs list and there were two versions listed, both were in the same program directory under C:\Program Files it had 2 different executables with slightly different names.
I uninstalled one and the other was still listed but when I tried to uninstall that one as well it gave an error saying it was no longer there and removed the entry from the list immediately afterward.
Waterfox program folder under C:\Program Files was still there but about 95% of the files within it were gone. Manually deleted that folder and then re-installed the latest version again and now it worked way better than before. This incident was mainly with 64-bit Waterfox but since it is almost identical to Firefox, this might apply to those having similar issues with Firefox.
I've given up on Chrome. If you use any extensions, and end your chrome session these extensions continue to run and consume memory until you reboot the system. They show-up in Task Manager as Chrome*32 and utilize 30M to 50M each.
If I end Firefox/Waterfox, the extensions and add-on's also end.
